Stathis G. Arapostathis was born in Athens, Greece, on September 1st, 1984. Had
he completed his school studies he moved to Mytilene, Lesvos island, where he
studied Geography at the University of the Aegean. His MSc and PhD studies were held in Athens, at the department of Geography of Harokopio University, in the field of Geo-Informatics.
His research interests focus on utilizing Social Networks for Science and on Volunteered Geographic Information. Other research interests
include Geoinformatics in general, GIS, development of Map Applications and applied modern technologies in Geography.
